Here's another young memory about playing an instrument. Although it was more of a toy.
Here's a piano cover of Greensleeves
Growing up I had some sort of Casio keyboard which was designed to teach you how to play music. (I did some limited research and it looks like I had the Casio PT-82). It had a ROM chip with four songs programmed into it. Greensleeves was one of the songs. It had a few modes to teach you how to play. I never had a serious interest in playing, but I still put some effort into being able to play the song, following along with the lights for the timing of the keys. Mostly I just liked messing with the different sounds.
In the 5th grade I took it to school for general recess play. Other students enjoyed it too. The teacher even put some stickers on the keyboard for certain notes to try and teach us about music.
