Odds and Ends - #31 Blaugust 2026
It's the final Blaugust post! This was a nice little project and it gave me something to look forward to everyday. I was writing most of these on my lunch break so I kept them short. My theme was helpful to keep me going. I did brainstorm the post ideas in advance and wrote them a couple of days ahead of time so I had a buffer. I was going to link back to my older posts when appropriate, but I got lazy almost immediately. That being said, how about some odds and ends that didn't quite get a full post of their own?
I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry. I had a summer job with my brother and we'd hear this all on the radio driving to and from work.
Breathing Underwater by Metric. While working night shift my friend (who worked at the same place) had to give me a lift since I didn't have a car. Another radio staple.
Experimental Film by They Might Be Giants. Background music while doing video editing, naturally.
Love at First Sight by Kylie Minogue. Random memory of listening to this on repeat from a CD I borrowed from the library.
Good and Plenty commercial song. My dad would sing this when I was really young. I think kid me just liked making my dad sing.
