Polish - #26 Blaugust 2026
I'm not someone who really embraces their heritage. My mother's side of the family is Polish through and through and I don't engage with the culture much despite living in an area where it's celebrated heavily.
My grandparents would listen to polka music all the time. There was a local radio station that would play polka or at least had a weekly program to play it. I lived with my grandparents between college semesters for a few years. I remember one morning being on the porch with my grandpa while we was tuning in to the station. We didn't talk much and just enjoyed the nice weather and the music.
